In this video, I teach a simple yet powerful finger cymbal (zill) dexterity drill designed to help you build strength, control, and confidence in both hands. We’ll use one easy base pattern, then challenge your brain and body by playing it in three different ways:

✨ Dominant hand lead

✨ Non-dominant hand lead

✨ Continuously alternating

This approach helps balance your zill playing, sharpen coordination, and develop real rhythmic independence — so you can play cleanly, clearly, and with intention no matter what your body is doing.

To make the drill even more effective, we’ll also experiment with using two different cymbals. This allows you to hear whether the pattern shifts are happening correctly and adds a melodic layer that makes practice both more fun and more revealing.
